A World Class School Offering the British Curriculum

School timings differ, depending on your child’s year group. A punctual start is essential to avoid disruption for your child and their year group. Please refer to our Daily timings.

Dubai British School Emirates Jumeirah Park follows the National Curriculum for England, boasting a broad and balanced programme, promoting high academic standards and a wide range of extra-curricular activities.

Secondary school students will be entered for GCSE examinations in Year 10 and Year 11 and for A Levels in Years 12 and 13.

The main differences between the International Baccalaureate, A-Levels and the American curriculum are related to personal choices and learning techniques.

The International Baccalaureate allows students to study a broader set of subjects and is seen by admissions advisers as ‘encouraging independent enquiry’ within students.

A-Levels provide a more in-depth study of core subjects (usually no more than 3).

Although there is no set American curriculum, most schools adopt the Common Core curriculum, which enables students to study a broad range of subjects. As they enter the final years of high school, students can select core subjects they would like to pursue in more depth.
